Arsenal are believed to be keeping tabs on Ayr defender Mark Campbell.

The 25-year-old stopper has attracted the interest of a host of clubs after a string of fine performances at Somerset Park. Arsenal are reported to have had Campbell watched in last week's 3-2 win at Alloa.

Arsenal are in the market for a new defender with their options at the back limited.

Ayr know they face a fight to hold onto Campbell and the Honest Men are unlikely to be able to resist a big-money bid for the defender.
