Sol Cambell could be reported to the FA for kicking out at Eric Djemba-Djemba during Sunday's Community Shield.

Arsenal defender Campbell was captured on television retaliating against Djemba-Djemba during the Millennium Stadium game, which Man Utd won on penalties after a 1-1 draw. No action was taken by Bennett at the time but Campbell may face a three-match ban if the incident is mentioned in his report.

After the game, Bennett admitted he did not see what Campbell had done. "If I had seen Campbell come up with his leg, action would have been taken. I didn't see the retailiation and I have referred it to the FA in my report," Bennett said.

But the FA said it would not speculate on any possible punishment for Campbell until after the report arrives. "If the referee did not see the incident, there may be room for us to pursue the issue," an FA spokesman said. "We expect to see the report at some stage on Wednesday and a decision on the next step will be made then."
