Here's the official report from Arsenal.com: "A day that could have been decisive in the Premiership title race has ended up proving nothing. The clash between leaders Arsenal and Newcastle, in third, did not need any hyping up but both sets of supporters at St James Park before this 4.05pm kick-off knew that Manchester City's late equaliser at Old Trafford a few hours earlier had opened up an inviting opportunity. Victory would give Sir Bobby Robson's a route back to the thick of the title race; a win for Arsène Wenger's side would tighten their grip of top spot. In the end, neither happened. Thierry Henry's slick finish capped a fine first half display from the visitors. But, as at Anfield on their last Premiership road trip, they could not kill off the opposition. And, as at Anfield, the home side came back, this time through Laurent Robert's delightful curler eight minutes after the restart. The Frenchman picked up two bookings in the following four minutes leaving Newcastle playing the final half-hour with 10 men.?But neither side really looked like taking the full quota of points during that time. So Arsenal remain three points clear of Manchester United with Newcastle still third a further five points behind. But surely Wenger will be pleased to get one of his toughest away games out of the way and, of course, there are only 11 matches to go now. Before kick-off, the Arsenal manager relied on the same 11 that had forced that dramatic 2-1 win over Fulham at Highbury. It was the first time in 23 Premiership games that he had named an unchanged side. The opening quarter of the game was as vibrant and lively as the Newcastle crowd. After only four minutes, Robert sprinted up the left and crossed low into the area towards the fast-approaching Alan Shearer, who slid in with Sol Campbell close behind. The former England striker got there first and flicked out a leg to divert the ball towards the corner of the net. Fortunately, David Seaman scooted across to scoop the ball side. A minute later, Dennis Bergkamp - scorer of a wonder goal at this ground on March 2 last year - drove a foot wide after Henry had played a short free-kick to the edge of the area. It helped the visitors find their feet and they increasingly looked like threatening. They were unlucky not to go ahead in the 13 minute. Patrick Vieira met Henry's corner with a firm header, Nolberto Solano kneed the ball on to the underside of the bar and back down into the danger area. Robert Pires was first to react but nodded his chance over the bar from a few feet out. The ever-dangerous Shearer replied almost immediately with a venomous volley that Seaman did well to hold at the first attempt. The game soon settled down after that explosive start but Lauren's yellow card midway through the half means he has reached five for the season and is likely to be suspended for the home game with Charlton on March 2. Towards half time passions started to heat up again, especially after Shearer was booked for a foul. Only another spectacular 'save' stopped Arsenal responding in the best way. Henry raced down the left and centred for the onrushing Bergkamp. Newcastle defender Titus Bramble attempted to clear but miscue and his effort bounced off keeper Shay Given head's and sailed over the bar. The respite was short. In the 35th minute, Gilberto slid a pass to Sylvain Wiltord who cut inside and flicked the ball for Henry to skip past the keeper and roll home a shot. It was simplicity itself and the Frenchman's 24th goal of the season in all competitions. The visitors threatened a second before the break. A sweeping break ended with Given rushing out to deny Pires in a one-on-one. The same player's attempted chip also failed. Robson replaced Solano with Gary Speed at the interval. It gave them renewed impetus. Craig Bellamy, who had been quiet before the break, fired over and then Robert equalised with a delightful goal. He collected a pass 10 yards outside the Arsenal area then danced around challenges from Lauren and Vieira before curling a left foot shot in to the corner of the net. It was the French winger's last positive impact of the game. He was booked a few minutes later for fouling Lauren and, in the 57th minute, received a yellow card for blocking Bergkamp's quick free-kick. The change did not seem to affect Newcastle that much early on. Bellamy dropped in the right side midfield leaving Shearer along up front in a 4-4-1 formation. The latter beat Campbell on the touchline and crossed for Jermaine Jenas to side-foot a shot straight at Seaman. However a match that had burned so brightly was soon left with only the smoldering embers of excitement. The notable exception coming in the final minute when Bellamy's cross-cum-shot from the right nearly dipped over Seaman. Yet again his reflexes were up to the test."
