Angela Rayner: The rise, the power, and the resignation that jolted Labour

Angela Rayner quit as Deputy Prime Minister on September 5, 2025, after a report found she breached the ministerial code over underpaid stamp duty. The former care worker rose from a council estate in Stockport to become one of Labour’s most recognisable figures.
