Rules for Boring Boring Arsenal's - Fantasy Manager: A few days before the first game of the season, I'll let you know your manager ids and you can select, from a list of the current Arsenal players, your team for the next game. You must choose 14 players from that list and rate them 1st to 14th inclusive. You must choose at least one goalie, the rest are up to you (plus you must select a substitute goalie and two other subs). You will be able to change your players any time you want and they will be re-loaded before EVERY GAME, and whilst you can send changes whenever you want I will ONLY pick them up using the time submitted (when you change your team on the database I receive an email notification) all changes will be processed in the order received, any that are submitted after an hour before the game's kick off will be left for the next game. After each game I will allocate points to ALL players using published games points as a basis, i.e. published game score of 0-3 will give 1 point, published game score of 4 will give the player 2 game points, published game score of 5 will give the player 3 game points, etc. up to a published game of 10 giving the player 8 game points. If the player is deemed to be man of the match the player gains an extra 2 game points. If the player is booked one game point is deducted, a second yellow card or a red card loses the player 2 points (2 yellow cards is a deduction of 2 points, not 3), if the player did not play (but was on the sub's bench) he is awarded 1 point, if the player fails to make it to the sub bench he is deducted 1 point, for each goal scored a player gains 1 point and for each goal conceded the goalie loses 1 point. The points allocated to your players will be accumulated into a total for the game. This total will be added to your running total to determine your position in the league. Easy? .... yeah, too easy, so (to sort the men from the boys): You remember I asked you to rate your players on a scale of 1 to 14 (where 1 is your highest rated player and 14 your lowest). I will use your rating when allocating scores, e.g. if your player scores 11 points and you have rated him first, his score is multiplied by 14 (conversely, if you had rated him 14th no multiplication takes place). Rated Multiplication Factor
My list of players and their position is FINAL, and the rules may change with experience but, if so, WILL BE PUBLICISED! The League Table and the Player List will be posted onto the web site. No game emails should be sent to any of the Arsenal Mailing Lists (please). It's intended to be a bit of fun, which hopefully will test your skills too. Want to play?
