We couldn't ask for a better finish to the season, could we? We won the FA Cup in style, then took the game to Old Trafford and rubbed their noses in it as we not only took the Championship, but forced them down to third place and the prospect of qualifying for next season's Champion's League. What is vitally important now is that we don't follow this double with a three year lean spell like last time. If it wasn't for the World Cup and pre-season friendlies, I'd go spare! Premiership: We won the premiership at Old Trafford and finished with 87 points (see table) after the Everton game which we won 4-3 more>>. Our second double in four years.

Champion's League: We finished third in our group (see table) after our last game (Juventus, away, 20th March, lost 1-0 more>>), leaving us unable to get into the Quarter Finals.

Cup Games: Knocked out of the Worthington Cup by Blackburn in the 5th round. We won the FA Cup final, beating Chelsea 2-0 more>>.
